We identify and evaluate areas with high potential for renewable energy projects, optimizing resources, connection feasibility, and return expectations for investors and operators.

The site drives a large share of the return: irradiation, grid access, environmental constraints and logistics.

We screen areas and support the investment decision with a technical view of connection and feasibility, before capital is committed.

    Site prospecting for solar plants

The site drives a large share of the return: global horizontal irradiation, peak sun hours, slope, land use, environmental constraints and distance to the grid. Excellent solar resource without a viable connection point does not close the investment.

We screen locations with an engineering and grid view: lines and substations, reverse-flow risk, protected areas and logistics. Planning datasets help, but the investment decision still needs a site visit, a connection study and a commercial reading.

    Grid access and site feasibility

In Brazil, the Northeast holds the highest irradiation, but transmission access can be the bottleneck. The Southeast and Center-West often compensate with grid infrastructure and nearby industrial demand. Nodal does not pick a site from the solar map alone.

We support investors and operators before capital is committed — from screening to a recommendation to acquire, lease or drop the land.

    How we work

    How we prospect the site

    1. 01

Screening of irradiation, terrain, land use and environmental constraints.

    2. 02

Grid-access analysis: lines, substations, capacity and connection risk.

    3. 03

Site visit and CAPEX estimate for the plant and for grid works.

    4. 04

Feasibility report to support the investment decision.

    Frequently asked questions

Irradiation, topography and environmental limits matter, but grid connection often decides the project. High GHI does not become sold or offset kWh without network capacity.

Yes. Site logic changes with capacity and the connection point, but crossing solar resource, land and grid applies to mini-generation and to larger plants.

When grid reinforcement, environmental liabilities or access-opinion timelines destroy the return. Better to discard early than to buy land with no electrical path.
